We collect the milk of our donkeys for use by people and for the manufacturing of skin care products. Donkeys can be milked as soon as their foals reach the age of two months. In the morning, the foals are brought into a paddock with their mothers, whom we milk every three hours. In the evening, the foals, which have been fed abundantly, can get a new feed from their mothers. Thus, they also learn how to live in the herd. We milk the donkeys manually, in a relation which involves trust and respect for the donkeys. That way, they are happy to give us their milk. Donkey milk is very white and more fluid than cow’s milk, because it contains little fat. It’s taste is nice and sweet.
